At the invitation of Insight Editions, I was able to work alongside Matthew Reinhart on this incredible project from the Harry Potter universe: A Popup Guide to the Creatures of the Wizarding World.
Matthew is a great designer of pop-up books. He uses his genius to create works that surprise you when you open a page, a tab or pull to interact with the figure.
The creatures featured in the films were represented in a fun and dynamic way, with a lot of interaction with the reader. Several scenes from the films were revived in the book's pops.
I was responsible for painting the entire book.
The style required for the finalization was painting on canvas, looser,
with brushstrokes and strong textures of paint and canvas.
Each Spread had a main figure, super detailed and complex, and countless smaller and fun pops enriching the story. .

This was definitely a passion project. Every character and creature, every pop, the painting of the details... and finally receiving the finished book and seeing the magic happen!
